Personal Coaching

David Finney - Professional Coach

Thank you for visiting The Energy of Conversation. I have a passion for the learning and development of teams and individuals and I believe I can be of significant help to your organisation. I will tell you a little bit about myself.

David Finney - Professional Coach I am an experienced manager and have been training, mentoring and coaching staff within the market research industry since 1990. Over the years I have learned to appreciate and understand the difference between these three approaches and how they fit into the role of the manager. In the early nineties I trained market research interviewers and supervisors before moving into more technical roles in the mid to late nineties where I trained computer script /spec writers to manipulate bespoke software packages using C-based logic statements.

During this time I was also teaching guitar to an adult evening class and I believe this has contributed to my understanding of not only the way that we learn but what motivates us while we learn. As my market research career developed I became Board Director in an SME heading up two call centres in Newport, Wales and East London.

David Finney - Professional Coach In October 2001 I joined GfK and was the budget holder for “Centel” a call centre based in the south west of England. With the support of a strong team I introduced several initiatives which culminated in the securing of the £1M Home Office State of the Sector contract. Working in partnership with several GfK countries the team turned a sizeable deficit into a sizeable profit.

David Finney - Professional Coach From Jan 2007 I spent 3 years at TNS, the largest research company in the UK, where I became Quality Director and "Coaching Champion".

I have 2 Coaching Diplomas (The Coaching Academy): for Corporate & Executive Coaching and for Personal Performance Coaching. I follow guidelines laid down by both The Coaching Academy and The Association for Coaching. David Finney
